Pre Installation Testing

Pre Installation Testing

A flooring installation requires a leveling material, an adhesive and flooring that can all be affected by the moisture and PH in your concrete slab. Testing your concrete slab ensures that your flooring won’t fail and that you can have a warranty from the manufacturer. If you aren’t sure which tests you need, contact us, and we can determine what tests are suited to your project.

The first step to pre-flooring installation testing is to create environmental conditions similar to what the space will have when occupied. This entails enclosing the space and heating it to the temperature you will keep the space at for 72 hours before and during testing. Heating the space ensures test results match actual conditions after the flooring is installed and being used. If your test results fall outside acceptable tolerance levels, CCMT can advise you on corrective measures to help your flooring installation stand the test of time.
