F1869 CACI MVER

Also known as a calcium chloride test, this test determines the rate of moisture radiated from concrete slabs. You need an MVER test to ensure your concrete slab will accept the type of flooring you want to install. This test helps you avoid liability problems, repairs and needing to reinstall an entire floor covering.

F2420 CONCRETE SURFACE RH

Sometimes called the hood test, this test finds the relative humidity above a concrete slab’s surface. The test measures the dew point, temperature and relative humidity inside an insulated hood sealed to the slab.

Testing the alkalinity or acidity of a concrete slab determines if it will accept resilient flooring. Adhesives used in resilient flooring installation might not stick to concrete with the wrong PH.

CORE TESTING

Testing a concrete slab’s core requires drilling out a slab sample. The slab sample is then sent to a lab for testing to determine the slab’s components. The tests check for contaminants that may affect floor covering installation.

F2170 CONCRETE IN-SITU RH

For this test, a hole is drilled into the concrete slab. Then a moisture sensing probe is inserted to determine the moisture content at different levels in the slab.
