What ASTM Tests Does CCMT Perform?
For moisture testing, we use ASTM F1869, the calcium chloride test.
The Plastic Sheet Test
This test is performed by taping a plastic square to the slab’s surface and seeing how much moisture evaporates overnight. Unfortunately, this simple test doesn’t give you enough information to properly install flooring or receive a warranty.
ASTM Porosity Testing
We use the ASTM 3191-16 test to determine the absorption rate, or porosity, of your slab to see if adhesive will stick well to it.
